IF: Momentum

Lemondrop raced after the robin who had stolen her tights. After she tugged and tugged on them, the robin finally let go. Oh no, now the momentum has flown her backwards through the air. Where will she land?

IF: Alphabets (Colored Version)

LB of Needleroozer suggested that I color Lemondrop for this collage. That seemed like a good idea and I was curious how it'd turn out. Pretty interesting. What do you think? Do you like this way or the monochromatic version better?

IF: Alphabets

Lemondrop knew that the key to the universe was in the alphabet ... anything that you needed to learn could be found in books. You just had to know the letters. Can you find them?

IF: Visitors

It was the time of the year for the glow-bug worms to visit the lemon orchard. Papa told Lemondrop that it was her chore to make sure that only two worms visited each tree. If more than that showed up she was to carry it off to the sunflower patch. They were nice visitors but sometimes a little greedy about not leaving enough leaves on the lemon trees.

Media: Pencil drawing on tracing paper, Photoshop filters and minor coloring. I'm still liking the basic pencil sketch with just a little bit of alteration. Perhaps next time I'll experiment with a different type of pencil than my normal mechanical one.

IF: Captain

Lemondrop was finding it more difficult to be the Captain of the Firefly Synchronized Flying Team than she first thought. Most of her teammates were more interested in free form flying than being in sync.

Media: Pencil drawing on tracing paper, Photoshop filters and minor coloring. I really like the effect that the pencil shading has on the finished illustration. But I'd also like to see it softly colored with a twilight sky as the backdrop.

IF: Missing

Lemondrop wondered what happened in the garden. She thinks that these footprints may have something to do with it. Now to figure out who made them and she'll solve The case of the missing carrot.

Pencil sketch on tracing paper, warm filter applied in Photoshop. I think that my carrot tops look more like corn. And somehow these don't look like convincing rabbit tracks at all. But this is what popped into mind as soon as I read this week's IF theme.

IF: Moon

Aunt Lotti was a silly fairy because she had a huge crush on the moon. Each night she tried to fly higher and higher so that she could recite her opus major, Ode to a Moon. Who knows, perhaps one of these nights she just might make it.
